Lived at 147 Glenbervie Road, Aberdeen when married in October 1954. Best man: Jack Allister.
George arrived at Pittodrie at the same time as Ian McNeill and Joe O'Neill, but was very unfortunate to suffer a neck break in his day job as an electrician. After his recovery, George went on to play for a number of clubs in Wales and Scotland before moving to Australia where he took up coaching in Adelaide.
