Manager of Wigan Athletic and Shrewsbury Town. Assistant Manager of Chelsea.
When he signed up at Pittodrie Ian continued with his apprenticeship as a draughtsman. During his time at Pittodrie, Ian had to do his National Service which interfered with his football for almost two years. On the playing front, he once scored seven goals in a 15-0 victory for the reserves. When he made his first team debut he scored within ten minutes against St Mirren.
