Profile: |
Herewith we give a portrait of James McDonald, who has already made so good an impression as outside right in the black and gold ranks. He has a fine command of the ball, and, at Dens Park, he delighted everybody with his accurate crossing. Perhaps he would have been seen to greater advantage had he not been opposed by such stalwarts as Henderson and Jeffrey. The Dundee play was unnecessarily rough at times. McDonald came to Aberdeen direct from Baillieston Thistle. He had previously seen service with Maryhill Club, which had the credit of bringing out Lennie, Edgar, and other notable players.
