Profile: |
John was a former Third Lanark 'keeper who was signed by the Dons in early September 1959 for a month to provide emergency cover during a goalkeeping injury crisis and whilst JohnOgston was still with his army unit.
Whilst at Pittodrie he was waiting for news about his new coaching appointment in Cairo. By 16th September the Evening Express was reporting that his engagement by the National Sporting Club in Cairo had been confirmed and that he would be leaving Aberdeen within a few days.
He left after having played in only two matches, both of which were victories and departed for Egypt with the good wishes of the Dons.
