"Kenny is a much travelled player. I can remember when he and Andy Wilson, now at Arbroath, played their trials for the Aberdeen Club. After leaving Pittodrie, Macdonald went to a small Welsh club for whom he put up a record in goal scoring. He afterwards joined Cardiff City, and after a short term there he joined the ranks of Manchester United. Four seasons ago he went to Bradford, to which club he rendered yeoman service. He is looking forward to the coming season, and hopes to do well with Hull.
It is worth noting that for the Bradford club, Kenny scored 153 goals in 152 matches."
