Profile: |
A key member of the side who was underrated by some in the media and the stands but not
his team mates. He was an established Scotland U-21 international and made his debut
as far back as May 2003 as a substitute against Partick Thistle and went on to featured in
273 first team games, scoring nine times. His pace allied to his power were his
biggest assets and he was used in a wide variety of roles during his time at Pittodrie - right, left and in the middle of defence and midfield. His versatility sometimes worked against him as he was consistently changing positions but he flourished during the 2006/07 when he spent the whole season in the left back role. Has also gained a reputation as a good man marker.
Transferred to Bristol City 6th January 2012 Full Name: Richard Martyn Foster
