Aberdeen Sign a New Half-Back.
It was Officially announced last night that Aberdeen, had signed Samuel Spencer, of Mid Rhonda United F.C. Spencer, who is 23 years of age and is 5ft. 10 ½ in. in height, has lately been playing right half for the Welsh club, but can fill any of the positions in the middle line.
His ability was recognised by Mr William Philip, the chairman, and Mr P. Travers, the manager of the Aberdeen Club, on the occasion of a recent visit to the Tonypandy district when they went to see John Paterson, the Scottish internationalist, in whom they were interested at the time.
Spencer has had previous experience with the Stoke and Brighton and Hove Albion Clubs.
