Bruce spent the first half of the 2017-18 season on a Development loan to Elgin City.
In the first League match of season 2018-19 Anderson made his competitive First Team debut and scored the equalising goal.
Although bruce was a regular on the substitutes' bench and was used in matches during the eraly part of 2020-2021, it was announced on 5th October that he was joining Ayr United on loan for the remainder of the season, but with the option of recall in the event of recal in January 2021.
On 31st January 2019 Bruce agreed to join Dunfermline Athletic for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. He scored on his Pars debut on 2nd February 2019 and scord 5 league golas for them whilst at East End Park.
After spending the first half of season 2020-2021 on loan at Ayr United, Bruce returned to Pittodrie in January 2021. However, on 1st February he again went on loan, this time to Hamilton Academical.
On 18th May 2021 it was announced that Bruce had signed a pre-contract agrrement with Livingston where he would join up on a three year deal.
