Connor spent the first half of the 2017-18 season on a Development loan at Brechin City.
Season 2018-19 saw Connor making his first starts for the Dons and after a substitute appearance in the League Cup final followed by a star performance against Rangers at Ibrox, Connor signed a contract extension to take him through to the end of season 2020-21. On 28th January 2021, Connor signed a deal to further extend his stay at Pittodrie until the summer of 2023.
With little prospect of games for the Dons, it was announced on 1st September 2023 that Connor would go on a season long loan to St Johnstone.
