A Scotland Under-21 international, Charlie was a product of the Celtic youth system who got
his first taste of senior games during a loan spell at Dundee United. From there he joined
Wolverhampton Wanderers of the Championship, also having a loan spell at Southend
United. He signed for the Dons in the summer of 2008 and scored 4 goals direct from free
kick in the SPL - more than any other player - and he also had numerous assists. Charlie was one
of the finest passers of a ball in Scottish football. He could play at left back and left midfield. moved back to Celtic at the end of his Pittodrie contract.
