Profile: |
Became the fourth former Dundee United player in the Pittodrie ranks after the 26-year olds-s
summer switch, signing a 2-year-deal. The tenacious and industrious midfielder
began his career at Falkirk and progressed through the Youth Development scheme.
He made his Falkirk towards the end of season 1998-99 aged 17 and for the next three
seasons he hardly missed a game for Falkirk and by the time he left, the midfielder had
accumulated 125 appearances and scored nine times. Quickly settled in at Tannadice
to become a regular in the side, racking up 189 appearances, scoring five times. Out of
contract at the end of last season, he opted for Aberdeen rather than a possible move
to a Championship side south of the border. He added much needed experience to the
Dons side after the departure of so many senior players at the end of the [revious season. A
massive player for the club he slotted in well to the Aberdeen midfield. He had an
outstanding season and was arguably the clubs most consistent player. In December 2005,
Mark made his debut for the Scotland B team, coming on as a sub against Poland in the
Future Cup 2005 competition.
