The Dons signed the Faroe Islands U19 captain Rogvi Holm on a one-year youth contract last year. Everyone was impressed with the central defender and he was offered a contract with the first team squad for 2009/10. Holm is joined at Pittodrie by compatriot midfielder Hallur Hansson, who plays for the Dons U19 side. An imposing figure who dominates his penalty area.

On the 15th October 2009, Aberdeen agreed to mutually terminate the contract of defender Rogvi Holm. The 19 year old was recently capped at Under 21 level by the Faroe Islands. However due to a lack of first team opportunities the club has agreed to let him return home.
