Profile: |
From the day of his senior debut in March 2021 Calvin showed signs of being an excellent player with plenty of potential to do well and contribute to the team. He became a regular in his first full season and gained a global reputation as a player who was on the ball in terms of positive attacking play. Speculation about interest from other clubs hit the headlines quite quickly and by the middle of season 2021-22 this appeared to be affecting his form. An injury kept him out of the squad for several games but he returned in good form and the speculation continued. In mid June it emerged that the Dons had reached an agreement for Calvin's transfer to Liverpool FC and on 19th June it was officially confirmed that he had signed for the Merseysiders. The transfer deal created a new Club record, easily beating the sum brought in for Scott McKenna a couple of years previously and earned the Club's Youth Academy high praise for its ability to develop top class young players.
