Billy Dodds
Billy Dodds Celebrates after netting for Scotland against Belgium in a WC Qualifier in 2001. Aberdeen record signing in 1994 as Willie Miller paid St Johnstone £800,000 for the diminutive striker. Renowned for his 100% effort, Dodds became a favourite at Pittodrie and was the Dons top scorer for three consecutive seasons. Capped for Scotland while at Pittodrie, and was due to start for the first time for his country in the infamous no-show in Tallinn as Estonia refused to accept the change of kick off time in a vital qualifying tie.

Dodds' goals at the end of season 1994-95 saved the Dons from relegation, and it was his double against Rangers in the League Cup semi of 1995 that set the Dons up to win the trophy against Dundee. It was Alex Miller who provided a shock in 1998 when he instigated the transfer of Dodds to Dundee Utd as Robbie Winters joined the Dons. Dodds enjoyed a new lease at Tannadice and his subsequent move to Ibrox proved fruitful, as further honours were to come his way before rejoining Dundee United and then Partick Thiste.
