These teams met at Chanonry to play their return fixture in rough and boisterous weather, and before a large crowd of spectators. Playing westwards against the wind, the ground men made an excellent start, and before the game had proceeded far, they were two goals ahead. White and McFarlane did the scoring. After this, however, the Whites fell away, with the result that when half-time was announced the teams stood level. In the second, as in the first period, the ground men made a good start, and White notched a third point. The play which followed was based on the kick-as-kick-can principle, and at this game Arbroath showed themselves to be the better team. They soon equalised, and before the game ended they had two goals of a majority. Score: Arbroath, 5 goals; Aberdeen, 3.
