The Orion met at Central Park on Saturday afternoon a team representing the Elginshire Association. In consequence of the inclemency of the weather it was decided to play two halfs of thirty minutes each. As a consequence of the blinding sleet and the muddy field, play was very uninteresting. In the first half the strangers gained a goal off a corner kick, and on several occasions the Orion had very hard lines. Their goalkeeper did good work.
When ends were changed the homesters played with more effect, and equalised, Hugh McKay securing a very good goal from a, corner kick by Edwards. Result: A draw, 1 goal each. The attendance of spectators was small.
