At Chanonry. The game opened and continued throughout fast and exciting, The local men, who so often fail lamentably when pitted against comparatively weak teams, seemed to improve in good company, and from start to finish they gave the visitors more than they bargained for. Fifteen minutes from the kick-off White beat Anderson with a grand shot. Despite the efforts of the Rangers, the ground club was able to maintain its lead until the close.
Ends had not been many minutes changed when from a corner the Rangers equalised. About twenty minutes later a second goal was added, and this concluded the scoring. Aberdeen struggled well, but against Drummond and Smith, the Ranger backs, they could do little, The efforts of the Rangers were again and again nullified by Smyth, whose brilliant goal-keeping was the feature of the match. Result: Rangers 2. Aberdeen 1.
