Victoria United 4 - 4 Fair City Athletic
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Wellington Bridge Grounds, Aberdeen
To local enthusiasts the match of most interest was the inter-county contest at Inverness, between teams representing Inverness and Aberdeen. The visitors in the first half had the best of matters, and scored twice through Gloag, while the home players scored only once. Keener competition prevailed in the second period, and towards the close Inverness equalised. Aberdeen, however, managed to snatch the match out of the fire by putting on a third and winning point before the close.

By a coincidence, the two matches played in the city: Victoria United v. Fair City Athletic and Aberdeen v. Orion, resulted in draws of four goals each. In both cases the Aberdeen clubs put weak teams on the field, the most prominent players being absent at Inverness, and the spectators were few in number.
