Orion 5 - 2 Forfar Athletic
Kick Off:    Low, Stopani, Gloag, Stopani, James       McFarlane, McFarlane
Attendance: 0
Venue: Cattofield, Aberdeen
Like the two other local clubs, Orion were on the winning side. Their opponents were Forfar Athletic. Within a few minutes of the start, Low opened the home club's score, and Stopani immediately afterwards added a second goal. The strangers, who had been somewhat taken aback by the sudden rush of their opponents, now settled down, and a spell of steady work in the Orion part of the field was eventually rewarded by a goal scored by McFarlane. Not many minutes had elapsed when Gloag retaliated by adding a third, and just before half-time, Stopani added a fourth. For a considerable time after the interval play was of a very humdrum character, until James added a fifth goal for Orion. During the second half Insch, Orion's new custodian, was frequently called upon, and although small of stature, he showed great coolness and manipulated the high shots in excellent style. The second goal which McFarlane put on for Forfar could not have been averted. The scores, which are a fair indication of the division of play, were: Orion, 5; Forfar, 2.
