This cup-tie was played in the Recreation Park, Peterhead, The strangers in a few minutes from the start scored. Peterhead men played up and pressed hard. A fine shot was put in by the home men, hut it struck the bar and rebounded. Twice again the same thing happened, and then the strangers relieved. Aberdeen then pressed, and after a considerable period scored a second point, Peterhead now retaliated, and Moir at last put one to the credit of the home team. In spite of Peterhead's good defence the strangers added a third point. This finished the first half. Play in the second period was not nearly so fast nor so good and there was nothing of interest to record. The game ended: Aberdeen, 3 goals; Peterhead, 1 goal. The score, however was no criterion of the play. The home team had very hard lines in not scoring oftener.
