This match was played in the Recreation Park, Peterhead. Notwithstanding the superiority of the strangers, the home men held their own well, and at half-time the scores stood: Victoria 4, Peterhead 2. Shortly after the commencement of the game Mackie, the Peterhead custodian, was charged in a very rough way, with the result that he was thrown to the ground and rendered all but unconscious. In the second half the strangers got two goals, and the game resulted: Victoria 6, Peterhead 2.
