Montrose 10 - 0 Victoria United
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Links Park, Montrose
These teams met in a friendly at Links Park, Montrose, before a fair, turnout of spectators. The came resulted in a crushing defeat of the Blues. Kicking off, the Vics pressed the home team for a very short time, Cruickshank (Forsyth's substitute) sending in a stinging shot, which only missed by inches. Montrose soon began to show superiority, and before half-time was called they were in the lead by 5 goals to nil. Play was resumed in the second half by the strangers making a feeble effort to reach the home goal, but without effect. The Montrose forwards proved too much for them, and when the whistle sounded, the scores stood: Montrose 10, Victoria United 0.
