The Aberdeen 5 - 2 Junior Select
Kick Off:    J. Mackie, Joe Davidson, J. Mackie, ?, J. MAckie       Robertson, Robertson
Attendance: 0
Venue: Chanonry, Aberdeen
These teams met at Chanonry last night before a fairly large attendance. Teams: Aberdeen: Mitchell; John Davidson, Alexander; Ritchie, Joe Davidson, C. W. Mackie; J. Mackie, Taylor, Barron, Gray, Gall. Selected team: Smith (Victoria United Reserves); Fraser (Victoria Rangers), Mitchell (Albert); Wingrove (Victoria United Reserves), Anderson (Aberdeen Reserves), Grant (Victoria United Reserves); Robertson (Albert), Howell (Aberdeen Reserves), Ross (Orion Reserves), Gray (Albert).

Losing the toss, the Juniors kicked off, and at once made for their opponents' territory, Gray, of the Juniors, made a fine run down, and had hard lines in not scoring. The juniors, however, meant business, and Morrison initiated another run, which eventually was converted into a goal by Robertson. Ross made a capital run and shot, but the leather went over the crossbar. The Aberdeen made an attempt, but Gall nullified. A hot scrimmage occurred the whites' goalmouth, but J. Mackie cleared and made a beautiful run along the wing, eventually landing the leather in the net. The Aberdeen, as soon as the sphere was again in play, made for the juniors' territory and Joe Davidson, with a swift low shot, beat Smith for the second time. A good deal of smart play was shown by the Selected Team, but the Whites soon assumed the superiority, and J. Mackie with a fine run lowered the Stripes' colours for the third time. From a scrimmage at the Whites' goal mouth, Robertson notched the second point for the juniors, and shortly afterwards half-time was called.

On ends being changed, the Whites were not long in registering a fourth point. The juniors were playing a plucky game, and more than once looked dangerous, but erratic shooting at the goalmouth spoiled any chance of raising their scone. Another combined run by the Whites brought them to the Stripes' quarters, and Gray passing to J. Mackie that player lowered the junior colours for the fifth time. Some very pretty play was exhibited by the juniors but they were deficient in their shooting. They, however, gave the Aberdeen a great deal of trouble, so much so that the Whites failed to increase their total, and time was called with the scores standing: Aberdeen, 5; Selected Team, 2.
