In splendid weather these teams played off a friendly match at the Victoria grounds. Teams: Cowdenbeath - Hynd; Allan, Wood; Geaton, Stewart, Nicoll; Dryburgh, Collins, Drummond, Beveridge, Gibb. Victoria United - Gillespie; Tindall, Ririe; Morrice, Caie, Annand; A. Macfarlane, Forsyth, G. Macfarlane, Ritchie. In the first half the strangers played against a strong wind. The United showed their superiority very early in the game. There was not much combination displayed, but what there was of it was on the Victoria United side. At half-time the homesters led by 3 to 1, but eventually Cowdenbeath won by 4. Goals to 3.
