Free from league and cup tie fixtures, the Orion arranged a match with the Arbroath Wanderers, who were represented by a strong combination. The Orion made several changes in their team. Hill, of the second team, was placed on the outside right, while H. Ross, late back, took his place on the outside left. During the first period the strangers fought bravely, but the Orion proved more than a match for them, leading by 2 to 1. A determined struggle took place in the second half, but neither team added to their score.
