With four goals of a handicap, the first eleven met an equal number of the second team for a handsome cup presented by Mr J. Allan, Victoria Restaurant, Torry. Both teams were fairly well represented. Result: 1st Victoria United, 6; 2nd Victoria United, 4.

Small attendance was the rule in local matches on Saturday, the cold and altogether uncongenial condition of the weather proving too much for the enthusiasm of the devotees of the game. At Victoria Bridge Grounds the first competition for the Allan Challenge Cup took place. The trophy, which is a handsome sample of the artificers' art, has been presented to the Victoria United by Mr James Allan, and will be competed for annually between the first and second strings of the Blues. From the splendid record record the Seconds have made this season, it was expected they would make their elders travel, but the result was quite the opposite. The first eleven allowed the youngsters 4 goals of a start, but this they could not improve upon, while the firsts put on 6 points, thus becoming holders of the cup by 6 goals to 4.
