Northern League
Forfar Athletic 1 - 1 The Aberdeen
Kick Off:  3:30 PM         Gall (pen)
Attendance: 0
Venue: Station Park, Forfar
The Whites Secure a Point at Forfar.
This Northern League fixture was played off at Forfar on Saturday in beautiful weather, and before a large attendance of spectators. For a considerable period the play was of an equal nature, but gradually the visitors asserted themselves, and after a short siege Gall beat Easton with a penalty kick. After this play brightened up a little, and Forfar had some fine opportunities, but they blundered in front of goal. The home team equalised at the commencement of the second half, and the game ended with the score unchanged: Aberdeen 1, Forfar Athletic 1.

The Aberdeen are to be congratulated on their plucky stand against the Forfar Athletic at Forfar on Saturday. The result (1-1) was received with the greatest delight by footballers generally in town when it was made known. The full team travelled south with the exception of John Davidson at back, but Gall made a useful sub. Tom Smyth In goal gave a grand display, and the Athletic were extremely disappointed at the result. As a rule the Aberdeen generally do well away from home in their League matches as evidenced in their games with Montrose and Fair City Athletic. We wish them every success in their remaining contests.
