In the third round of the qualifying cup competition these teams met at Cattofield before a fair attendance of specta¬tors. The scoring was opened by Thom for the Orion, who easily beat the visitors' custodian, and before half-time was called this player added a second point for the borne team. The Peterhead men played a good defence, but the almost continual bombardment by the ground team resulted in other five goals being scored against the visitors before the game ended. The result of the match was thus : Orion 7 goals; Peterhead 0.
