A friendly match between the Arbroath Wanderers and the Victoria United (Aberdeen) was played on Saturday at Aberdeen. During the earlier part of the first half Arbroath played with ten men. The Vics lost the toss, and kicked off against the sun. Play was confined for some time in midfield, but was afterwards changed to the Arbroath territory. At half-time the score was: Victoria United, 3; Arbroath, 0. On changing ends, Caie scored the fourth point for the Vies, and "John " put in the Arbroath's only goal. Some warm play followed, and Cruickshank put through the homesters fifth point. Toman notched a sixth point, and two other goals from scrimmages followed. The match resulted: Victoria United, 8; Arbroath Wanderers. 1.
