Venue: Clepington Park, Dundee
The above teams brought off their Northern League fixture on Clepington Park on Saturday afternoon. There were about 2000 spectators present. The Wanderers' team was: Coventry; Allan, Irons; Smart, Ireland, McColl; Betsworth, Graham, Lyon, Williamson, Ford. United: Finlay; Grant, Allan; Morris, Stewart, Annand; Murison, Wingrove, Caie, Thornton, Ritchie. The game started in a drizzling rain, which continued to fall to the end of the match. Wanderers succeeded in carrying the ball to the other end of the field, where Ford scored from a pass by Williamson. On resuming, Williamson sent through a second goal. A third goal by Lyon was disallowed as being offside. United now got away, and in a scrimmage the ball was put through. No further scoring took place in the first half, which ended: Wanderers, 2; Victoria United, 1.

The United were more conspicuous in the next half, but were unable to score. Williamson scored two more goals in the early part of this period. Betsworth was in grand form, and his passes were most effective. The wind increased in the latter part of the game, and prevented any further scoring. The game ended Wanderers, 4; Victoria United, 1.
