must have been sadly disappointed when the
game was over. The cause of their downcome was the want of method on the part of the Aberdeen forwards, who seemed hopelessly at sea, especially in the second half. Had it not been for their defenders the Whites would have had to mourn a heavier defeat. The best of the eleven were Davidson and C. W. Mackie, but for whom the Aberdeen would have fared much worse than they did. The first half was well contested, and ended in favour of the visiting team by only one goal, but the Aberdeen were completely out of it in the second period.
