The Aberdeen 1 - 8 Queen's Park
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Chanonry, Aberdeen
Playing the same team as met Orion in the afternoon, with only two exceptions, the Aberdeen met the Queen's Park at Chanonry in a friendly engagement. The attendance was not very large, but the drawings, it is understood, will cover the expenses of the match. The score - 8-l in favour of the Queen's Park - indicates pretty clearly that the Aberdeen had a somewhat uncomfortable time. Little other could be expected considering that the team was composed of practically the same players as met the Orion in the afternoon, and that their opponents were men of far wider experience.

The final for the Gershon Cup was played at Chanonry on Saturday afternoon before a large crowd. Orion gave a fine exhibition and ran out easy winners by 5 goals to Aberdeen's 1. On Saturday evening the famous Queen's Park paid the Chanonry eleven a visit. The "Spiders" brought a capital eleven north and gave a brilliant display of football, which was witnessed by a fair crowd. As was expected, the Queen's did pretty much as they liked and the game finished 8-1.
