Venue: Central Park, Cowdenbeath
Victoria United played a friendly match at Central Park, Aberdeen, when they had as their opponents the Annbank from Ayrshire. There was a large attendance of spectatoors, and the pitch was in good condition. The teams were:- Annbank - Stewart; Mullholland, Smyllie; Hannah, Gourlay, Fitzsimmons; Henderson, Donelly, Vance, Welsh, Watson.Victoria United: R. Murray; Craig, Bremner; Kitson, A. Murray, R. Ritchie; Knolwes, Duncan, G. Ritchie, Ferries, Davidson. Referee - Mr. Beddington, Victoria United.

The United started the game up the incline, but the forwards had not made much progress when they were repulsed by superior force. The United had only nine men at the commencement, but Knowles and Davidson came on in time to save disater. After this the visitors fell back, and the ensuing play took place near their goalmouth. Stewart saved several likely shots in fine style. The forwards were fed well, and they made a combined attack on Murray's charge, without effect, however. Knowles ggot away on the right, and by very careful nd judicious passing soon got up the full length of the field, but on being centred the ball was muddled. On the whole, play was pretty equal, and there was no scoring in the first half.

In the second period the United immediately pressed, and a feature of the play was the fine passing of the forwards. Knowles, always plaing a steady game, landed a splendid pass at G. Ritchie's feet, and the latter had no difficulty in scoring. Knowles had a dashing rush along the field, passing all obstacles in his way, but just as he was about to shoot he was fouled just outsidethe penalty line. From the kick-off play was very exciting, and in a few minutes Ferries added a second goal. Knowles' passing was beyond praise, and he fed G. Ritchie with another splendid pass, and the latter scored a magnificent goal.
