Kick Off:    Moir, Mathers, Petrie, McInroy       Duncan
Attendance: 0
Venue: Clepington Park, Dundee
Victoria United travelled to Dundee on Saturday, and engaged in a Northern League fixtire with the Wanderers. The weather was also very boisterous at Dundee. The teams were:- Wanderers: Don; Petrie, Taylor; Neave, Matthews, McInally; Moir, Black, McInroy, Graham, McKane. Victoria United: Murray; Bremner, Thain; Ritchie, Murray, Craig; Byres, Duncan, R. Ritchie, Ferries, Taylor. Referee, Mr. Scott, Montrose.

The Wanderers won the toss, and the Vics kicked off towards the east goal. Their progress was arrested, and the Wanderers attacked. The latter were repulsed, and the Aberdonians made a desparate effort to open their register. A corner was gained by them, and this almost proved successful, Don saving in fine style. Another good run by the ground men was spoiled by the opposing backs, and immediately the Vics were down on Don's charge, where another corner was secured. There was some excitement before the pressure was relieved. Wanderers then came away with a fine run, and Moirbeat Murray with a high shot, which struck the upright and fell into the net. The Vics kept up the attack, but Don saved exceedingly well. Wanderers broke away, and closed in on Murray, but that player cleared. A counter-run by the Vics was fruitful, Duncan equalising the scores with a shot landed in the corner of the net out of Don's feet. The Dundeetustodian almost muddled a shot from Duncan.

Wanderers started the second period with more vigour, and at once bore down on Murray. Several good shots were sent in, but were returned in splendid fashion, until Mathers beat the United custodian with a "grounder" from far out. The aberdonians were only playing ten men, and against the wind this was a very stiff handicap, but Ritchie, who had been hurt, came on the field in the course of the second half. The Victoria United only once since the opening of this half managed to pass the centre, and this wasonly for a minute. Down the wanderers returned to the visitors' defence, which was strained to its utmost. The United broke away, and had a very fine run up the field. The outside left sent in a beautiful shot, which Don saved, and play was once more transferred. Corners against the visitors became very numerous. Backs and halves were all lying round the goalmouth, and the game now became a shooting match. Murray was ultimately beaten by Petrie, and a minute after McInroy added a fourth point for his side.
