The Aberdeen 2 - 5 Blackburn Rovers
Kick Off:    Livingstone, Davidson       Dewhurst, ?, ?, ?, ?
Attendance: 0
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
The visit of the famous Blackburn Rovers to Aberdeen had been looked forward to with keen interest by local football enthusiasts, and when the team stepped on the field at Pittodrie Park last night they met with a hearty reception. Unfortunately the weather broke down in the forenoon, and although the rain had almost ceased before the game began, only a comparatively small number of spectators were present when the teams lined up. The teams were:- Blackburn Rovers: McIvor; Eastham, Darroch; Haworth, McLure, Houlker; Whittaker, Somers, Dewhurst, Blackburn, Swarbrick. Aberdeen: Bisset; O'Brien, J. Mackie; Sangster, Thomson, Robertson; Brash, C. Mackie, H. Livingstone, Davidson, Bruce. Mr. Ritchie, Aberdeen, was referee.

Aberdeen won the toss, and the Rovers kicked off towards the sea. Livingston sent in a long, low shot, which McIvor failed to keep out. This was the means of waking up the Rovers, who now commenced to exhibit some pretty football. A rush by the visitors resulted in Dewhurst equalising with a swift shot, close in. Two other goals were secured by the visitors.

In the second half Davidson scored a pretty goal for Aberdeen, but the Rovers notched other two points, and came out winners by 5 goals to 2.
