Reserves Big Win
The Aberdeen reserves journeyed to Fraserburgh and played a friendly match with the Fraserburgh club. The weather was, unfortunately, wild and wintry, and there was only a fair amount of spectators.
Aberdeen were without Harper, and the Broch had not their usual back and half back lines, these players having gone to Yarmouth for the herring fishing. Last encounter between the teams resulted in a win for Fraserburgh of 2 goals to 1 in the semi-final of the County Cup.
Mr. Lewis Bain, Fraserburgh, was referee. Winning the toss, Aberdeen played with a gale at their backs, and were soon busy in the vicinity of the home goal. Hutchison broke away, and a grand run produced a corner, which did not materialise. After 10 minutes play Aberdeen scored two goals in rapid succession, the outside right being responsible for the first and McCunn for the second, which was a beauty from midfield. After this Fraserburgh woke up, and had several good tries for the net.

Aberdeen showed up much better against the wind than with that, rattling on five goals, and maintaining their own defence intact. Campbell, Brown, and Neilson notched one point each, while Dalziel penetrated the defence twice. The home team had a fair share of the play, making successive raids upon the visitors' citadel, but they finished weakly.
