Elgin City and Aberdeen A met in a Highland League fixture in Station Park, Elgin, on Saturday. Aberdeen had the best of the play at the start, and scored early through McLeod. Rennie added a second goal 2 minutes later. The City improved, and after some good play on the right Simpson beat Greig with a soft shot. Through a mistake on the part of girl, the Elgin goalkeeper, Robertson added a third for Aberdeen.
The visitors pressed on resuming, and Robertson and Scorgie added goals in rapid succession. Some good tries came from the City, but Greig was very safe, although lucky at times. A penalty was given against Munro, the Aberdeen left back, but Garrow sent the ball wide of the posts. Close on time Aberdeen scored again.
