Just prior to the game Jim Clunie was rushed to hospital and his place in the team was taken by Jim Wallce. At the end of the game it was learned that Wallace had broken a bone in his cheek and was also taken to hospital. Wallace was sent home after a minor operation and Clunie was expected to improve fairly soon.
