This match was noteable for an outrageous penaty incident where not only the initial award was blatantly wrong but the decision for it to be retaken after Bobby Clark had saved was entirely unjustified. Little wonder that it was all too much for one fan who went after the referee with a dog.
Even the press condemned the referee's decision making.
