Falkirk reserves deservedly beat Aberdeen 2-0 at Linlithgow scoring a goal in each half. In an even first half, Kevin Moffat gave Falkirk the lead on the half hour mark. The striker had a tussle at the corner flag with Stuart Smith which he won, and then beat Bateman from a fight angle with a low shot.
After the break, Falkirk continued to play the better pns.sing football and deservedly went further ahead. Jeffrey de Visscher clashed in the box with a Falk player and, as he was adjudged to have prevented a goal scoring opportunity, he was sent off From the resuffing penalty John Stewart calmly converted. Aberdeen's best effort of the game came when Wright forced a fine save from the Falkirk keeper. The ball then fell to Crawford and from point blank range the keeper produced another excellent save.
