By the only goal - cleverly scored by Walker in the second half - Aberdeen beat Queen's Park Strollers at Pittodrie on Saturday. In the game witnessed by 3000 people, play never reached a high standard, the strong wind rendering the ball difficult to control. On the run of the game the visitors were unlucky to lose. Their attempts at combination were ahead of those of the home team, and their half-backs in particular played particularly well. The outstanding players were - for Aberdeen: Robertson, Wyllie, Walker, Connon; and for the Amateurs, J. Campbell, the half-backs, and J. Reid.
