Aberdeen 3 - 0 Partick Thistle
Kick Off:    Hutton, Connon, Hutton.
Attendance: 6,000
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
There were 6000 spectators at Pittodrie, where, in a cold, row after noon, Aberdeen triumphed over Partick Thistle by 3 goals to 0. The game throughout was fast, and the fine display of the home team, the specially in the second half, compensated the spectators for the discomfiture they suffered from the atmospherical conditions. The opening half was a dour defensive duel, in which each side attacked in turn of the rear divisions of both sides prevailed, and there were no goals had the interval. Partick Thistle resumed without Harris, a substitute being allowed in J. Duffus. Aberdeen soon took the game in hand, and after the Thistle goalkeeper had repeatedly cleared, Hutton opened the scoring. This was closely followed by a finely-taken goal by Connon, the beat two opponents and gave Stewart no chance. Partick Thistle were well held by the home defence, and near the finish, following upon a cross by W. Wylie, Hutton headed against the crossbar, but catching the rebound, concluded the scoring. This for Aberdeen were Hannah, McRobbie, Wyllie J., Wylie W. Connon, and Hutton; and for Partick Thistle, Stewart, Adams, Crichton, Henderson, and Salisbury.
