North Eastern League
Dunfermline Athletic 1 - 2 Aberdeen
Kick Off:    Hunter 79       Pattillo 4, Pattillo 12.
Attendance: 2,500
Venue: East End Park, Dunfermline
Aberdeen, who looked like having a runaway victory in the early stages, ended by being fortunate .

Although on the whole they were definitely the better side there was a marked contrast between their first and second half performances. Their attack, led with great dash by Pattillo, had the Dunfermline defence badly upset right at the start. A two-goal lead gained in twelve minutes gave Aberdeen every chance of an easy victory. But they were over-confident and took things too easily in the second half.
Dunfermline's experiment in introducing Hunter at centre did not quite come off. The former Queen's Park winger was eager enough, but was no match for Lyon. Although he missed couple of good openings, made amends scoring the home side's only goal.
None of the other Dunfermline forwards showed anything like their best form until the closing stages, when they made a desperate bid. In attack Aberdeen were best served by Pattillo, Armstrong, and McCall. Lyon and Graham were outstanding in a sound defence.
