Dons Win League Title
The Dons have won the North Eastern League championship for the third time. They made certain of it by defeating Hibs by two clear goals at Pittodrie. The Dons were undoubtedly the better team, but they have seldom had to fight so hard this season for victory.

No fault could found with the Aberdeen defence. Cooper, the best back afield, had a strong partner in Dyer. Gavin barred the way down the centre, and Dunlop and Taylor were grand on the wings.
The work the attack, however, was open to criticism - Matt Armstrong led the line well, but was none too well supported. The wings did not function smoothly. Pattillo showed thrust, but Gourlay was weak at inside-right. Mortensen, who suffered an ankle injury, worked hard, but he should have scored on at least two occasions, when he skied the ball over the bar. Ferguson is not an ouutside man.
Hibs' defence gave a creditable display. Moodie in goal did some grand work. He had strong backs in front of him but the real strength of the team was at half-back. The forwards were fast, and kept the home defence working hard, but there was little cohesion in the line.
Armstrong and Pattillo got the Dons' goals.
