Dons Teach Bairns a Lesson
THE North-Eastern League has developed into a very lively competition, and there are prospects of a great fight for the championship. Dundee are now the only unbeaten team, and are in the lead with an advantage of two points over Aberdeen and Rangers. The fact should not be lost sight of, however, that Aberdeen have the best defensive record. They have conceded only four goals in four matches as against six by Rangers and seven by Dundee.

At Falkirk, the Dons won with the utmost ease. Only during the opening quarter an hour did the homesters put up a fight. From then the Dons were masters, and they reduced the Brockvlile team to a very ordinary side.
Grand team work was the secret of the Dons' success. There was perfect understanding between all divisions. The defence never faltered. Johnstone was confident throughout. Cooper walked through the game and Dyer was back at his best form.
The Dons had a great half-back trio in Russell, Dunlop and Cruickshank. Cruickshank won great praise for a very clever display.
The master mind in attack was Bremner. He schemed cleverly and with great power.
Until he met with an ansle inlury, which necessitated his absence for a period, Pattillo was a very dangerous forward. Munro and he had a fine understanding. Munro had his best game since joining Aberdeen. Newman at centre was a trier, but Cocker was not success outside-right.
