Victory Puts Dons On Top
Aberdeen are leaders the North Eastern League on goal average. As a result of their 2-0 victory over Hearts at Pittodrie, they drew level with Dundee on points. The Dens Park team went under to East Fife by the only goal of the match at Methil.

The Dons' victory over Hearts was all the more creditable in view of the fact that they were without the services of Hutton Bremner for an hour, while Anderson, the left half, suffered a knee injury, and limped during practically the whole game. Even so, the homesters were always the better team.
Bremner was not injured in a tackle, but it is understood he is suffering from severe muscular trouble, and likely to out the game for some time.
The three men who stood out in the Aberdeen team, and who did most to bring about the victory, were Cooper, Dyer and Dunlop. They are a grand trio, who have a perfect understanding. When the team was reduced to practically nine men, these three players took the brunt of the attack, and came through with flying colours.
Johnstone was confident in goal. Russell was clever on the ball, but somewhat slow, while Anderson did well under difficulties.
Waldron was always a danger. Pattillo was great grafter, and pleased in the first half. Munro, always plucky has been seen to better advantage.
