North Eastern League
Aberdeen 5 - 0 Dundee
Kick Off:    Pattillo, Williams, Armstrong, Pattillo, Armstrong.
Attendance: 16,000
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
THE supporters of Dundee have had a very unhappy New Year week-end. Aberdeen at Dens Park on Saturday beat Dundee by five clear goals in the final of the Supplementary Cup.
Yesterday in a League game at Pittodne they trounced their old rivals by the same score. The Dons smacked Dundee hip and thigh in both games.

Yesterday, while the Dons won by 5-0, it was not such a clear-cut victory as that on Saturday. Dundee made a fight of it but they were beaten in the end, principally by great team work.
Aberdeen were without the services of Dyer, Miller, Waldron and Green, while Bennet and Cox were absent from the Dundee team.
Aberdeen again won on sheer merit. The reserve men rose to the occasion nobly. There was not much between the teams in the first half, during which Pattillo scored for the Dons. After the interval Aberdeen were definitely on top, and Armstrong (2), and Williams added to the score.
The substitute goalkeeper, Henderson, of Third Lanark, played well for the visitors. Westwater, as on Saturday, was the better Dundee back, but the halves were none too happy, and the attack never gave the impression of doing much damage against the rock-like home defence.
In a well-balanced Aberdeen side, Johnstone did all that was asked of him well. Cooper was the best of the four backs, but a word of praise is due McKenna for wholehearted display at left back.
There was no comparison between the half back lines. Aberdeen's trio were vastly superior. The Dons best forwards were Pattilio and Williams. Armstrong, however, produced something like his best form after the interval, while Lloyd was clever on the ball.
The Dons go to Arbroath to-day, and again they should win comfortably. It is expected that Waldron, Dyer and Miller will be available, but there is a doubt about Green. Cooper is being rested, and McKenna will be at right back.
