Dons Once More at Top of North-East League
DEFEATING Raith Rovers 4-1 at Kirkcaldy, the Dons resumed the leadership of the North-Eastern League - on goal average only. Rangers and Dundee were also successful, the former at home against Arbroath, and the latter against Falkirk at Brockville. The Dons and Rangers are equal in points, with Dundee a point behind.
Aberdeen's next two games are at home - to Hearts and East Fife respectively.

The Dons were worth their victory at Kirkcaldy. Praise is due the players for the complete transformation in attack. The defence was reliable throughout, but it was not until the second half that the half-backs and forwards showed real understanding.
Johnstone had several magnificent saves. Cooper was the best back afield, and McKenna showed considerable improvement.
Frank Dunlop simply blotted out the home inside forwards after the interval. No wing half compared with Crulckshank. He showed fine control, and his support of the forwards was very good. Anderson had a good first half, but tired later.
Pattillo was at his best. He was the forward of the match, and his two goals were magnificent.
The discovery of the match was Baird at inside left. He showed distinct promise. He brought the ball quickly under control, and made quick headway. Bremner, who had a penalty goal, showed deft touches at times, and Miller, who also scored, gave an excellent account of himself. Munro was only moderate.
