Dons Resume Leadership of North-Eastern League
Aberdeen are once more at the top of the North-Eastern League by reason of a splendid 4-1 victory over Dundee at Dens Park. They are now two pints above Rangers, four above East Fife, and five ahead of Dundee, and have played a match fewer than all of these three clubs.

The Dons victory at Dens Park was richly deserved. Dundee lost their centre forward Turnbull through injury early in the game, but even had Dundee been at full strength the Dons would still have won, although perhaps by not so great a margin. The Dundee players showed great pluck and tenacity, but they were up against a superior team right from the start.
The Dons played with zest and enthusiasm, and they produced a high standard of football. The game was a personal triumph for Matt Armstrong, who scored all four goals - all perfectly taken. He put new life into the attack. The return of Taylor to the half-back line also brought about a big improvement in this division, whilst the play of Baird at inside left won that young player all-round praise.
There was not a weakling in the Aberdeen eleven. Dundee were well served by Bennett in goal. The backs were unreliable, however, but the half-backs worked heroically. Ewen, who scored the homesters' only goal, and Hill were the only forwards to impress.
