Rousing Tussle Likely For Mitchell Cup
ABERDEEN and Dundee, who meet at Pittodrie this afternoon for the Mitchell Inter-City Trophy, are on top of the football world in Scotland.

Aberdeen, by defeating Motherwell 4-1 at Pittodrie, are now leaders of "A" Division with an advantage of two points over Rangers. Dundee are at the top of "B" Division, also with a two-points lead over Dunfermline.
There is every prospect of a terrific struggle between the Dons and Dundee to-day for the new trophy.
it is not expected that the Aberdeen team will differ much from that which beat Motherwell. All the players are reported fit. Dundee are fielding a strong eleven, and in all probability Juliussen will lead the attack. The Dens Park team will be chosen from:- Bennett; Bowman and Ancell; McKenzie, Gray and Smith; forwards from Hill, Auchterlonie, Juliussen, Anderson, Auld and Kattray.
Mr Peter Craigmyle will referee, and the kick-off is at 2.45.

The Dons made no mistake about defeating Motherwell on Saturday, but the Fir Park team provided the homesters with their greatest test at Pittodrie. It was a pulsating contest, with Aberdeen taking the honours.
Motherwell certainly had vile luck on three occasions when shots found the woodwork - they also failed with a penalty - but there can no denying that Aberdeen took the shortest road to goal. It was a paying policy.
The Aberdeen defence is playing with great confidence. It has been thoroughly tested in the last two games, and the fact that only five goals have been conceded in seven games is tribute to its quality.
So far no opposing half-back division has come up to the standard of the Pittodrie trio, while the forwards on Saturday gave a vastly superior display.
Matt Armstrong scored two of the four coals. Baird and A. A. Kiddie having the others. Miller was Motherwell's scorer. The crowd was just over 17,000.
